Appointments
During COVID 19 pandemic we are continuing to offer patients appointments with consultations being provided largely by telephone, video and online e-Consultations. This is to protect patients and staff alike. Vaccinations and Immunisations are continuing in surgery. Please call the surgery.
When booking an appointment you may be asked the nature of the reason. This is purely to direct your requirement in the right direction. For example some services and requests can be processed by our reception staff and save your valuable time.
Consultations are by appointment and can be booked in person at the surgery, by telephone during the office hours or online.
If you wish to see a particular doctor/nurse let the receptionist know in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
We aim to see patients within 20 minutes of their appointment times, if not an explanation should be provided. We hope you will bear with us, as some patients can take longer than their scheduled appointment time.
Please note that patients given an emergency appoinment may have to wait longer
Referrals
If a doctor agrees that a referral to a specialist is necessary, you be given a choice of the hospital. You can then make an appointment to see a specialist and the details of the booking telephone number will be provided.
Practice Nurses
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
