Repeat Prescriptions
If your doctor decides you need medication on a long-term basis you can obtain them on a repeat prescription basis. These can be ordered in the following way
Online - follow the link at the top of this page to complete a simple registration: this is RECOMMENDED and puts you in control of your repeat prescriptions. We can help you set this up. Submit an e-Consult (hone page) for set up assistance.
NHS app supports electronic prescribing.
In person - using the second half of the printout attached to your last prescription, clearly mark the items required and deliver it to the surgery
By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
Please note requests for repeat prescriptions are not taken over the telephone.
If you have an urgent query about your medication, telephone lines at the surgery are open between 11:00 and 17:30. Please choose option 2.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow request your repeat prescription 1 week before it is due to run out two full to ensure prescriptions are processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
